Luggage forwarding 2016/12/7 16:15
We are an Australian family of 4, arriving at Narita in the evening. We intend catching an overnight bus to Kyoto but as there is no trunk for check-in luggage on the bus we need to forward our larger suitcases to Kyoto.
Can we send the luggage directly to our apartment in Kyoto? (We are staying in an Air B'n'B apartment.)
When could we expect the luggage to arrive?

Delivery is normally next-day.

Organising delivery to an AirBnB is difficult. Someone needs to be there to receive it. You could ask your host if they would mind. Otherwise, organise to have it sent to a Yamato location, post office or convenience store nearby.

When you fill in the details for the delivery, you choose a 2-hour delivery time, make sure you are at the appartment at this time and it will be OK.

And, usually, deliveries can be made from the following day. However if you sent the luggage late it will arrive after two days. You can also change the date of delivery if you want it delivered later, but in your case I think it is useless.

Thanks for your replies.
Just to clarify, so if we organise the luggage service at Narita on Monday night, they are likely to be delivered on Wednesday?
