I will be coming into Osaka by Shinkansen from Kyoto. I have a JR Pass I have accommodation booked near Osaka Station. I would like to know.
1. Does the shinkansen stop at Osaka Station or does it stop at Shin-Osaka Station only?
2. If it stops at Shin-Osaka Station, which train should I take to get to Osaka Station.
3. Can I use my JR Pass to get to Osaka Station ?
Thanks in advance.

Only at Shin-Osaka.
You can take a regular JR train to Osaka station, which would be covered by the pass. It's only one stop away.

2. If it stops at Shin-Osaka Station, which train should I take to get to Osaka Station.
As you exit/go downstairs, you'll see numerous platform numbers that will lead you to Osaka line. If I am not mistaken in Shin-Osaka, the platform was 15 or 16 bound for Osaka.
Since you have JR Pass, I suggest that you can take the infrequent Thunderbird or Super Hakuto limited express if you want seat even in non-reserved cars. Although slower than shinkansen, they are surest to stop at Osaka station itself.
If you can bear to stand, ride the special rapid service trains from Kyoto.

1) A lot of rail maps. http://universal.j-hoppers.com/img/sightaccess.jpg2) Take direct trains of conventional line easiest if in out of weekday morning/evening rush. Special Rapid or some LtdExp trains(except Haruka and Kuroshio) fastest and operating numbers a lot. If in morning rush take LtdExp train best. https://goo.gl/maps/KbsJ7bxpGTU23) Yes. Tokaido Shinkansen btw Kyoto and Shin-Osaka : JR-Central(東海:Tokai in JP) Conventional line(Not Shinkansen) btw Kyoto and Osaka : JR-West "Japan Rail Pass(for nation wide)" both companies rails all covered but If that "JR Pass" means JR-West's one not covered Tokaido Shinkansen section. Read again Pass web.
