Furano Station to Obihiro Station

Hi,

Understand that JR Hokkaido has ceased the operation of JR Namuro Line. Are there any alternative for traveling from Furano Station to Obihiro Station? if yes, how can go about it?

Furano station is 富良野駅, Obihiro is 帯広. It is recommended to reserve in advance, but possibke by phone only +and probably only in Japanese).

Hi, Thanks everyone for the recommendations. :) i heard that the nemuro line connecting from Furano Station to obihiro will resume it operation on 21 Dec 16. Is that true?

One wonders where you are getting your information... The section between Shintoku and Memuro will reopen on December 22 however the section between Higashi-Shikagoe and Shintoku will remain closed until at least next spring.

Seems like bus is the only alternative for me to travel from furano to obihiro. Thanks!!
