Hokkaido in early April 2016/12/24 09:01
Hi there.
Is there any interesting sights in Hokkaido in early April?

The drift ice in the north is probably gone and maybe too much snow to hike in Daisetsuzan? And no snow festival stuff in Sapporo.

So any other things recommended?

You'll be a little early for sakura, but I always have a fantastic time in Hokkaido. I don't know where/if you've been, but just take a look around the Hokkaido section of this website. Hakodate, Otaru, and Kushiro are some of my favorite cities; the Asahiyama Zoo is the best zoo I've ever been to; and Rishiri and Reibun islands in the north are stunningly beautiful.

Looked at an old weather map from Sapporo, looked a bit too warm for snow but I dont know.

Is Daisetsuzan too early to visit?
