airbnb: amemura vs dotonbori

my gf and i will be in osaka jan 1-4. we fly in to osaka the evening jan 1 and travel to kyoto jan 4. we will be staying at airbnb. there are two locations we are interested in. the amemura location is 2 blocks west of mitsutera temple. the dotonbori location is 1 block east of the glico man sign. which location is preferable? we would like to be in a safe clean location and be able to walk to all the different little eateries and cafes in that area. thank u.
