Validity of Japan Rail Pass Tokyo-Kyoto-Nara 2016/12/26 19:55
Is the normal JR Pass valid from Tokyo to Kyoto and Kyoto to Nara or are supplements needed? I refer to certain exclusions, as to the validity of the JR Pass, stated on JR Pass' website:

"There are some restrictions on use; for example, JAPAN RAIL PASS cannot be used for travel on NOZOMI and MIZUHO trains on the Tokaido, Sanyo, and Kyushu Shinkansen lines."

Thank you!

Yes, the trip is fully covered if you 1) use only JR trains and 2) do not use a Nozomi train.
