Book the 19:57 bus from Shirakawa to Takayama

Hi, I'd like to book the 19:43 bus from Shirakawa-go to Takayama, as it appears to exists according to http://www.japan-guide.com/bus/shirakawago.html . Problem is, I can't find it on Japanbusonline.com. I really need to take it since my hotel is in Takayama (Shrakawa is running out of accomodations). Question: Is it possible to reserve that bus? If not, what is the best way to buy tickets for that bus in a way I'm sure I won't miss it? Is it safe to assume I will be able to buy tickets on the same day from the Shirakawa-go station for sure? Thanks for your help!

Note that it does not operate on weekends and public holidays.
