Japan Itinerary for 12 days

Hi all - Getting ready for our trip in early April 17'. Wondering if you have any suggestions:

Day 1 - Arrive Tokyo in early afternoon
Day 2 - All day in Tokyo
Day 3 - Day trip to Kamakura & Yokohama
Day 4 - All day in Tokyo
Day 5 - Travel to Hakone
Day 6 - Travel to Osaka
Day 7 - Travel to Hiroshima/Miayajima
Day 8 - Travel to Kyoto and stoping at Himeji
Day 9 - All day in Kyoto
Day 10 - Travel to Nara
Day 11 - All day in Kyoto
Day 12 - Back to Tokyo to catch a late flight back home.

Regarding your Kansai itinerary, try to have only 1 base so that you will not have to drag your luggage every now and then. Either have a base in Osaka or Kyoto. Osaka is 30 minutes away to Kyoto. Nara is accessible from either location.

Will you be doing day trip for Hiroshima/Miyajima from Kyoto or Osaka? There are several threads here regarding doing a day trip on those 2 famed locations so check them here in Japan Guide forum. You will also see some feedback from seasoned forumers here regarding travel from Tokyo to Hiroshima or vice versa so check them out as well.

Thank you for your feedback. Agree. I will be spending a night in Miyajima, but where I wanted to stay was not available day aft Hakone. Therefore, I had to stay somewhere en route to Hiroshima. I open to suggestion, If I can stay in another somewhere else?
