Late Sakura Blossoming

Hello minna san ^_^ Do you know some places around Kansai area where sakura blossom around late april?
And... any suggestion for off the beaten path places to see around Osaka? I have already visited the popular spots like Nara, Kyoto, Kobe, Asuka, Wakayama, Koyasan etc...

You will have to go up. The higher elevations will be colder, and have a later blooming season. I would suggest Yoshino. It blooms about a week later than the area.

I can tell you that in 2014, I went to Koyasan just after Golden week, and the Sakura tree in the courtyard was losing it's petals.

It's not in the kansai area, but I have also gone to Chichibu in late April, and the sakura were blooming in the park. I believe later blooming varieties were planted to try to coinside with the phlox moss blooming.

You could see late sakura blossoming in Katsuo Ji temple.

The temple is located in north Osaka and public transportations are available. Sakura festival is scheduled from 1st/April to 30th/April.

Takamino-sato (�‚Œ©‚Ì‹½) hold sakura festival from 1st/April to 30th. However, most sakura is estimated to be gone in late April and public bus is available till 23rd/April. This place is located in Nara.

You can see at only a few places
but no amount of flowers/trees no worth.
Koyasan is one of, but already peak overed.

Sakura front already reached south Tohoku area about 700km north-east in mid APR usual.

But late APR more than northern area reached usual.

So if possible buy Japan Rail Pass(7 days) for chasing Sakura front up to nor,,,
