JP Bank Remittance money

Hello,
I've made a remittance by SWIFT to my father's account on Japan Post Bank. I've received confirmation on the remittance and it says the money should be available on his account, but I asked him to go to the bank and check and there was no money there.
The account and bank data are correct. What should he do to get the money? Does it take some days for the money to be available or he have to show the swift confirmation code to the bank so the money can go to his account?
Please, if you know the procedure I'd be really glad.
