Type of Rail Passes to buy 2017/1/28 14:08
I am visiting Tokyo in April 2017 and will be visiting Nikko, Lake Chuzenjiko and Kamakura as side trips. What type of rail passes should I get so that I can visit these places with lower transportation costs?

In addition, can anyone recommend a tour package for 2 days one night to Nikko including a night stay in a ryokan?

Many thanks.

For Nikko:

For Kawaguchiko, it is best to just to take the direct bus with regular tickets:

Under "Travel Planning - Transportation" in the top corner, there's a section about rail passes. Each location you've mentioned has one or several passes associated with it; which one you choose will depend on your individual plans in the area.
