Sake Brewery visit

Hello. Intend to drop by the Nada district in June from Osaka. Which are the recommended breweries that we should visit for good and high quality sake ? Are there any smaller breweries that also produce good sake but are relatively unknown in the international market (yet) (i.e. does not export) Thanks.

There are several interesting sake museums and brewery tours in the Nada district, but as a rule of thumb, the most interesting museums to visit rarely have the most interesting sake to drink. I'd suggest visiting a few sake museums and brewery tours during the day, then visit a nice sake-oriented pub or two in the evening to try out a number of different craft sake. My favorite places to visit in Nada are Hakutsuru, Sawanotsuru and Kikumasamune, but there are plenty of others, and you can do your own walking tour if you like. As for sake pubs, Uoman in Kobe has a decent selection, but I'm sure there are many others: http://bento.com/kansai/rev/9087.html

Incidentally, presumably you have been to the Fushimi district in Kyoto. Is that moe interesting than Nada, or ?
Also, we will be driving from Matsue towards Tottori and then Kyotango to Fukuchiyama. Are there any interesting sake breweries or similar along the way that you would recommend or have visited ?
Thanks.

I've only been to the Gekkeikan museum in Kyoto, and it's pretty good, as museums go. Don't know what else is there though, or how tourist-friendly they are. I've never been to Tottori, so I can't help there. Have fun!

There are a few sake brewery near Tokyo in the city of Odawara. My ryokan recommended a activities reservation site that made it pretty easy to visit...the brewery even had an English speaker, I think it was called the Inoue Sake Brewery https://www.entaro.co
