Has anyone had kamaboko before? A friend recommended a stop by the Suzuhiro Kamaboko Village on my way to Hakone. She said there are cool cooking activities, restaurants, and beer. https://www.kamaboko.com/en/What do you think of kamaboko? Has anyone visited here yet?

I don't think kamaboko itself is something worth getting too excited about (though it's not going to be off-putting to most westerners either,) but the whole experience sounds interesting! I'd say trust your friend and go for it.
