Hakone - Owakudani - Gotemba in one day

Dear All,

next May will be my first time to visit Japan. kindly advice for my one day trip below :
- From Odawara st i will buy Hakone freepass
- from Odawara with Hakone freepass how to get to Owakudani?
- is it possible from Owakudani go to Gotemba with Hakone free pass?

my main visit is Owakudani and directly to Gotemba.

Owakudani (NOTE: Owakudani may get closed due to volcanic activity):
From Odawara station, take a train to Hakone Yumoto station, take another train to Gora, take a cable car and a ropeway to Owakudani. Sounds like lots of transfers, but they are all easy walk transfers.

Gotemba:
From Owakudani, take ropeway to Hakone Togendai (or sometimes just Togendai) where Lake Ashinoko is, then take a bus to Gotemba.

yeahh i read Owakudani is temporary closed, hopefully within May 2017 that will be fine. Owakudani one of my "must visit" place :)

Owakudani does not appear to be closed since it re-opened last year.

The ropeway is closed until 4/14 due to repairs http://www.hakone.or.jp/owakudani/
