Raw milk unpasteurized not sterilized 2017/2/9 08:37
Hello
There's old threads about this and the situation may have changed in 2017. Looking for raw milk (untreated, straight from the cow non homogenized not sterilized) either in Tokyo to buy at a store or as a delivery service. Is it legal to sell raw milk in Japan? I looked in many places and closest I could get was at Isetan Shinjuku food halls which I think was homogenized and pricey.
I could easily buy it at farmers markets in London and it was relatively inexpensive. Please post links to websites or Tokyo stores that sell it.

I believe the info you posted may be old which is the reason why I started a new thread.
I bought milk from Isetan Shinjuku a couple of weeks ago it's a different brand むかしの and it's sterilized at 63 degrees for 30min. The staff there said it's raw but I don't think they know the actual meaning of raw milk.

「四季むかしの牛乳」

and

「想いやり生乳」

are different products.

They are both available at Isetan Shinjuku, but, 「想いやり生乳」 is only available twice a week. You need to phone Isetan when 「想いやり生乳」 is in store.
