I'm trying to figure out the best way to visit Biei and Furano using public transportation. If you know of a better way, please let me know! Also is this all possible to do in a single day?
BIEI AREA 1. Take the train from Asahikawa Station to Biei Station. 2. Rent a bike to see Patchwork Road and Panorama Road. š I would prefer to see Patchwork Road and Panorama Road by bus, but I found no information on local buses. Japan-Guide says that there are seasonal Twinkle Buses for tourists using JR, but is that for non-residents only? Ifm a resident.
FURANO AREA 1. Take train from Biei Station to Lavender Batake Station. š Japan-Guide says this station is only seasonal. When will a timetable be available for trains going to this station and where can I find it? 4. Visit Farm Tomita. 5. Walk an hour to Lavender East. š Is the road well known and walked often? Or will I be one of the very few walking? Does the route show up well on Google Maps?
