Space on express bus from Nagano to Ogizawa?

We are hoping to visit Murodo on April 26th. We are travelling with a son that has some trouble walking so it will be slow for us. As it is going to busy at that time we were hoping to start the day from Nagano very early. It seems that the first bus from Nagano to Murodo isn't until 8.15am....is that correct? What if there are hundreds of other people wanting to start the day with the first bus...will that mean hours of delays in starting the alpine trip? I'm really concerned that we won't make it there and back by the last bus at 4.30pm.
Really appreciate your thoughts/experiences!
