No problem as basic.
Use HyperDia for comparing vs regular(no discount) fares.
Japan Rail Pass not matched for each cities explore short rides, bc JR lines is not so many.
So need other tourist passes usual.

If really need big money save, find Over night buses
for btw Tokyo and Kyoto,Osaka and more for long distance.

Busy but doable.

If you swap 21st and 22nd. Then you can use JR pass for Shinkansen to get to and from Odawara. Then purchase the 4000 yen hakone free pass.

The trip is easily doable.

If possible, I would choose a day with good weather for Hakone, so if doing it one day earlier is not possible (as suggested by hakata), then no problem trying to do it in the next.

It is a bit more expensive from Shinjuku (assuming you are using the Hakone Free Pass), but not that much, and going there in a clear day would make this rather long trip from Tokyo much much more worthwhile.

Likewise, if conditions are crappy (heavy fog or rain), I would drop it altogether and just do something in Tokyo. Or go to Nikko.

Of course, this would involve keeping an eye in the weather forecast.
