1 Day Kyoto Route itinerary 2017/3/3 00:02
Hello!

We are planning a Day trip to Kyoto on April 21. It is our first time in Japan. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

-We will be coming from Osaka. Holding a JR Rail pass.
Please advise how do we get to Kyoto via train and also reach the below places by bus.
-In Kyoto, we plan:
to rent a Kimono first for a day
then to visit four iconic places: Arashiyama, Kinkakuji Ryoanji, Kiyumizudera and Fushimi-Inari
Then from Kyoto back to Osaka in the evening.

Please advise how we should plan our route accordingly based on the above. We wished to see more but since we only have one day, I have trimmed down and chose the above activities.

Thank you for your suggestions and advice.

You don't have enough time to do all four locations in one day let alone fitting in a yukata session. And strolling along Gion is one thing, but I advise against hiking up those shrines and temples in a yukata.

Arashiyama is on the west side and takes half a day. Kinkakuji is on the north side. Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizudera are to the east. Look at Google map to get a better understanding of your itinerary. Enter your route and see the suggested transportation. Google knows best.
