Purchase of Fuji-Hakone Pass

I am unable to purchase the Fuji-Hakone pass as I will be coming from Kyoto to Kawaguchiko. The pass is only sold in two physical centers (Shinjuku and Odawara).
Can I get a foreign (non-Japanese) tourist friend to purchase on my behalf? I need two tickets.

If you are coming from Kyoto, wouldn't you first be getting off at Odawara?

Yes, other people can buy the pass for you, as many as required.
