Hello,
I have purchased 2 tickets for the opening day for 11:20.
I wonder if the time is strict, or if I will be able to come at an earlier hour ( 07:00 ) ? Is it possible ?

Also regarding transportation - should I book anymore tickets in advance ( staying in Toyama on the 14th ) ?

They estimate class A crowds on 15th Apr; more than 6k visitors, a waiting time per ride longer than 1.5 hours.

So, I do not expect such an early entry with the reservation ticket could be possible.

Just try to line up for an ordinary ticket as early as possible. They would start to sell such tickets 40-minute before the first cable car at Tateyama station if it were reasonable.

To arrive at Tateyama before the starting time of 6:20 on the 15th, you should ride the 5:27 train at Dentetsu-Tateyama station. At this station, they would also sell some tickets of such kind. On the 14th, ask the information for that, though you might have to show up there around 5 AM or so.

Another way could be starting from Ogizawa, Nagano side. The reservations are still not full even for 15th Apr.

Hi this might be a stupid question but I plan on going from Ogizawa to Tateyama. I took a look at the ticket reservation website and it seems like only the Tateyama Cable Car portion of the route can be reserved in advance. Since I will not be reaching the cable car until the afternoon it seems like there is nothing for me to reserve. Am I understanding the website correctly? Are the reservation times only for the Tateyama Cable car, even from the Ogizawa direction?

I already booked for the 16th for 8:00AM . I had to change my plans a bit but I made it work.
1.5 hours seems a lot time to wait 8(

It seems you should be able to reserve the Kanden Tunnel Trolley Bus from Ogizawa to Kurobe Dam. The listed departure times on the reservation site completely match to those for Kanden Tunnel Trolley Bus, but not for Tateyama Cable Car.

Hi,
i'm finding hard to find transportation between kanawaze to Tateyama for a boarding time of 8:00 ( 16/4).
the only thing I found was the
IR Ishikawa Railway for TOYAMA ( 05:16) and then from DENTETSUTOYAMA to arrive at 07:23.

Will it be advisable to rent a car and do the trip by myself (or via a Taxi service if it's available) ?

It seems you need to exchange the tickets reserved on the net to real ones at least 15 minutes before the departure time, namely 7:45 in this case.

It requires you to be seated on the train to Tateyama arriving at 7:23. The last limit for it is 06:10 at Toyama station.

But, you could not reach Toyama before 06:11 by the first train from Kanazawa.

It is planned to do so quite likely by thinking of commuting passangers with thier passes in hands. But the site estimates ten mintues from JR Toyama to Dentetsu-Toyama maybe taking account of travellers who need to purchase the ticket there. Ainokaze line is at the opposite side of Toyama Dentetsu over the JR Shinkansen. Note Jorudan is the best routefinder in Japan. Their estimates should be quite accurate. So, I do not recommend to do this somewhat risky transfer. But if you believe you could do it all within nine minutes, then just try it.

So you need to find the right lane for your reservation ticket for the 9:00, as soon as you get off the 8:25 train to Tateyama. If you failed to exchange your ticket before 8:45, you would have to wait for the ordinary tickets for the day, up to 1.5 hours. Or, they could refuse you to enter the Route. They have already issued an emergency note that indicates a possible early shutdown of the ticketing counter itself between Apr 15 - Apr 25.
