U.S. taxes from Japan 2017/3/27 20:59
Im a u.s. citizen living in japan. In the states i used to use a tax preparer, but it seems like the only way to file from japan is on your own. I looked around online for info, however i am not an english teacher, and also not tax-saavy.

Anyone from the US here that can share experience or any info ? would be greatly appreciated.

You get a two month automatic extension, and what you will probably want is the "Foreign Earned Income Exclusion." Just look up about that and you'll probably find all the detailed instructions.
