How long does it take to get a COE?

Hi Everyone,

My lawyer in Japan has just submitted my application for my COE with my entry date as 1st June 17. She said it will take around a month to find out however I have been reading most haven't found out for 3 or more months.

Does anyone have any experience of anything similar? (FYI, Its an International services VISA I am applying for... I have 5.5 years experience in the relative field (but no degree) and I am from the United Kingdom)

Any advice would be most appreciated :-)

For what it's worth, I am also waiting for my engineer COE from Canada. The lawyer submitted the application to the Tokyo Immigration Office on March 3rd and she said to expect a response "mid-April".

Engineer:University degree in the corresponding field or 10 years of professional experience

Immigration will decide if you apply for the requirements

CoE can take about A month to three months

If it take longer you better to contact immigration office or ask your lawyer to contact them.
