Review self drive plan in Chubu

Dear All,

As my family has plan to visit Chubu during Autumn 2017, our group has senior (70+) and small child (2 & 4 yo), we decide to rent a car for this trip. Our draft plan is

Day 1 :Arrive Nagoya
Day 2 : pick up a car and drive to Takayama, walk around Takayama (spend just half day in Takayama)
Day 3 : Go to Shirakawa and go to Kanazawa, sleep in Kanazawa
Day 4 : Walk around Kanazawa (full day in Kanazawa)
Day 5 : Go to Toyama in the morning, and sleep in Toyama (half day in Toyama)
Day 6 : Day trip to Kurobe , back to sleep in Toyama
Day 7 : Drive to Matsumoto in the morning, walk around Matsumoto (half day in Matsumoto)
Day 8 : DAy trip to Karuizawa and back to sleep in Matsumoto
Day 9: Go to Kawaguchiko
Day 10 : Spend whole day around Kawaguchiko
DAy 11 : Go to Shizuoka with a trip to Fujinomiya
Day 12 : back to Nagoya & Return car
Day 13 : Go around Nagoya
Day 14 : back home

Since we had driving experience in Hokkaido and Kyushu, I think I can also drive in Chubu.
But please help me reivew if this plan is good or do I need to adjust anything?
Since we will have small child in a group, we may not be able to leave hotel as early as we need.

We plan to go on Nov 5 which mean we will be in Kawaguchiko on NOv 15, Can I expect color peak in this time? Because one of our main purpose is to enjoy autumn in Kawaguchiko.

I think your itinerary looks good. You should be coming at a good time for the fall colors.
