Enquiry on Tateyama Alpine Trip

I am planning for my trip to Japan from mid-Nov to early Dec. One of the itineraries include Tateyama Alpine route. As such, I would like to know whether is this a good time to visit the Alpine ?

Unfortunately it is not the ideal timeing. The route closes at the end of November, and even in the second half of November, it often gets partially closed because of snow on the Toyama side. If you arrive to and depart from the Nagano side, the risk of closure is much lower, and the visit will allow you to see nice, winter mountain landscape.
