Japanese ATMs - depositing cash

Good Morning everyone,

This might be a stupid question but i just thought id ask as i cant seem to find this information anywhere.

I often use the ATMs here in Lawson and 711 and the JP post office bank to deposit money into my Japanese account, however I wondered, as you can withdraw money from a foreign account here, could you deposit yen directly into the same account?

I imagine the answer is no as it requires forms and checks etc but i just wondered

i think it will be will be converted into your local currency .
