Using japan guide on the go in Japan 2017/6/7 16:19
I want to buy a Japanese SIM card and use japan guide on the go while I travel. Does it take a lot of internet or is it ok? And is there a way to download some articles to my phone with wi-fi?

Look into Offline Browser apps for your device, like this one for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gashawmola.offline&h...

As for buying a SIM, I think you can only rent them; personally we rent a PocketWifi as we've several devices.

If you are using google chrome yot can just download/save the page you want for offline reading.
Article should not incur much data bandwith as long as you don't access videos.

You CAN buy prepaid SIM card, for data only. Those are available at airport and some shops.

You should get a SIM regardless for net access on the go.
