Docomo bike rental in Odawara 2017/6/10 06:27
Hello,

i plan to rent a bike in Odawara from a docomo rental station. And I want to make a rather long trip to hakone with it(about 45 km). I'm a bit concerend about the battery life, because I might not be able to return it.
Therefore I would like to know if someone has some experiance with using this service and can tell me how reliable the battery is.

Use Google translate.
http://docomo-cycle.jp/kensei/qa/

It is possible to keep on running, but operating company alerts not to do so.
Even if the battery runs out, it will only become a bit heavy bicycle,
so it will not feel so stressful after starting except upslope.

And, no mentioned on above FAQ, "assist function" will be expired automatically when 24km(15mile)/h,
but this is not break down just as vehicle safety law of Japan, so pls remember.

Also in Odawara, other rent bike service exist.
Docomo is "Let's Bike",
maneged by Odawara City is "Gururin Odawara/ぐるりん小田原" they provided some assisted bicycle.
