30 days in japan: Hokkaido-tokyo

I will be in Japan for thirty days on a solo trip and am looking for suggestions for things to do and see. I will be starting in Sapporo, spending two days there, then going to Daisetsuzan national park. Tentatively from there, I will go to furano and hakodate. Afterwards, I'll work my way down South from Hokkaido, probably hit up akita on my way down to Kyoto. I fly out of Tokyo. Therefore, since I have an open and flexible schedule, I am wondering if anyone has any input on great places to visit and sights to see as I move from Hokkaido down to central Japan. I am open to rural/ country/ coastal/ urban environments. Tentatively, my schedule looks like this: days 1-2: sapporo days 3-7: daisetsuzan day 8: furano days 9-11: hakodate days 12-20: ??? days 21-24: kyoto days 25-27: ??? (do i go to hiroshima?) days 28-30: tokyo
Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated!
