Haneda Airport to Mount Fuji

I will be arriving at Haneda airport at 1640. Does it make sense to go to Mount Fuji directly? I am planning to stay for 1-2 days. Alternative would be to stay in the city for one night and head to Mount Fuji the next morning. Thoughts?

What mode of transportation will you be using? If you can reach your destination relatively easily (without too many transfers and safely) by midnight, I would go. Otherwise stay in the city one night.

Stay in city.
Getting through airport checks and travel to Kawaguchiko. Earliest you might get there is 1930. But realisticly, more like 2030.
