Visit Korankei mid November 2017/6/25 20:52
We planned to visit Korankei mid November this year. I already read that the weekends are quite busy, so we planned to go during the week. But what is the best place to stay? Is it possible on one day from Nogoya or better to stay closer? Because I also want to see the lights at night. Are there still busses driving or is it better to take for example a taxi? Advise would be very much appreciated.

Korankei in Asuke is famous for its light up.

There are some ryokans in Asuke and nearby, such as Sanage Onsen.

Accommodation in Asuke is not enough. So, buses run even after 22:00.

A bus to Higashi-Okazaki connects a Meitetsu train to Nagoya. A bus to Toyota-City is better to a Metro Tsurumai Line up to Fushimi. Fushimi is nearer to Sakae, the center of Nagoya downtown. A most frequent bus to Jyosui is also to a Tsurumai Line, but drops by Sanage and Shigo on the way. Note Sanage is far from Sanage Onsen. Shigo is for Aikan Railway, convenient to bed towns around Nagoya.

So, I would try to stay between Sakae and Fushimi in this case. Nagoya and Asuke could follow. I would leave Asuke after seeing the light-up. Daytime is short in November.

Here are some English guides.

Sanage Onsen runs some free shuttle buses, but not in the night.
