i am planning to travel from Kyoto to Kanazawa, then Shirakawago, Takayama, Nagoya and Osaka. And i found this JR pass "Takayama Hokuriku Tourist Pass" is quite useful for my travel. However, i am not sure this pass can be used from Nagoya to Osaka.
Does any one know about this?

Well it can be used from Nagoya to Osaka, but you have to take the 9 hour trip back through Toyama to get there.
You can catch the Skinkasen from Nagoya to Osaka for about 6700 JPY which takes about an hour. You'll still come out way ahead of a full JR pass with the Tourist pass and the one way Shinkasen, so it's a good deal.

Or around 2000 yen is you use slower/scenic rapids and locals. As pass should cover from Yamashina back to Osaka. Can visit touristy spots like Nagahama, Hikone, Otsu and Biwako etc along the way.
