Fuji District base 2017/8/15 17:07
We are wanting to visit Fuji District in early November for the nice walks and views. Also the hot springs.
Coming from Tokyo we have three nights to stay in the district. One person said we could stay two nights in Hakone and the one night in the Five Lakes area... but breaking up the trip like that means going to another hotel and losing valuable time ...maybe waiting to check in etc.
We would also like to be close to a town where we can go to different places to eat and have a drink in the evenings. Maybe western style hotels ...with options for hot springs?
So, is there one "base" that is best all round?
We will return back to Tokyo by bus or train and then Shinkansen train onto Kyoto from there.
Thanks for any comments

Hakone and Fuji five lakes are about 90 minutes apart by bus. There isnt really a central location that suits traveling to both.
