Hokkaido Rail Pass

Dear Sir,
We are tourists (7 persons) and our traveling plans are :
24Dec arrive at New Chitose Airport and travel to Sapporo on the same day.
27Dec travel from Sapporo to Otaru
28Dec travel from Otaru to Niseko
31Dec travel from Niseko to Sapporo
1Jan travel from Sapporo to New Chitose Airport
Please advise the lowest transport cost option with detail via trains.
BTW, how do i tell the difference between Shinkansen train and please direct me to get the train schedule.

The Shinkansen only reaches up to Shin Hakodate, just north of Hakodate.

For your current plans you will not see any Shinkansen services.

Thanks for the reply but i dont understand yr respond. My query are based on my travel plan, pls suggest what type of Rail pass is the lowest cost. I think the comparison will be traveling without Rail pass or standard train ticket cost and with Rail pass. Thank you

I read about the R East South Hokkaido Rail Pass and Hokkaido JR Rail pass, what is the difference bet these two?

Next, please advise what type of subway pass is recommended for above travel plan.
