Mt Fuji Itinerary Ideas/ commute help

We plan to do a day trip from Tokyo to Mt Fuiji early November, however i'm stuck on which locations and how to plan our day etc, not sure if i should spend the day at Hakone or travel around the lakes? if anyone has an itinerary from a prior trip- please share :) any recommendations on travel options would be great, we will have a JR rail pass (if this helps)

It's already snow fall in Nov on Mt Fuji. You better to spend a day in Hakone or Fuji lakes.
If you want to visit Mt Fuji in Nov, you need proper winter climbing equipment.

Yes you can, but you can enough to spend a full day in Hakone and another full day in Fuji five lakes.
You will be quite busy if you visit both places in one day(mostly gone as transfer time).
