Does the Pokemon Center in Tokyo still exist? I was planning on visiting in August, but I noticed the website is no longer available. If it is still around, is there any place to find English directions? Especially for which exit to use from Tokyo Station.
Thanks in advance!

Hi All
It seems from the forum that a new Pokemon Centre will open in july..., I would like to visit there on 18 Dec, just want to check if it is still opened, what is the address and opening hours. Thank you!

We'd done a trip to the fish market, then walked through the traditional gardens nearby, and then walked down to the station.
Kids were lined up down the stairs and out along the street, waiting to enter a building with Pickachu pics on it's window.
Standing in a line for 2 hours with my kids waiting to go into such a place would be one of the Circles of Hell for me. But the Japanese seem to be patient in that way. Don't go on the weekend.

I was wondering, is there a similar Nintendo store?
I know there is a Square-Enix store in Tokyo, where you can get Square-Enix related goods, but is there a Nintendo store like that one?

If you are going to the Pokemon center on Dec.18th, it is best to go there at 11am as soon as the shop is opened, or in the evening around 7pm, just to avoid the crowd. The shop will be opened everyday from 11am to 8pm in December. The shop is on the 2nd (or the 1st for the British)floor of the Shiodome-shibarikyu building, 2min walk from the JR Hamamatsucho station. You can also pop into the beautiful Shibarikyu garden if you go there during the day.

Hi I went there beg of November, so it exists : ;-) Now, don't imagine a huge shop. My daughter was looking for a specific pokemon item that she didn't found. So they have a lot of recent stuff, but it i snot a huge shop (IMHO).

The last thread for this subject was in 2008. May I know if the Pokemon store near the Hamamatsucho Station is still there?

Yes. And I don't think there are any plans to move it.

Can anyone tell me if the Pokemon Centre in Fukuoka or Osaka is an interactive centre as well or is it just a shop? We will be in Tokyo before we get to Fukuoka and Osaka so was hoping to get advice as to which centre is best to take the kids to.
Cheers, Liz

Not quite sure what you mean by interactive?
Loads of merchandise and electronic machines for playing in one section, but primarily a shop to buy anything Pokemon.
Heaven for my three boys, not quite a circle of hell for me but my husband waits on the outside chairs and I supervise the purchasing :)
HTH?
