In Japan this camera is called the Canon EOS Kiss X2. Both Bic Camera and Yodobashi (two of the biggest electronics chains in Japan) have the kit for 88,600 Yen and the body only for 77,400 Yen. You can save 5% by taking the Duty Free Tax Back option. There is a massive Yodobashi next to Akihabara station in Tokyo, and there are many other electronics/camera stores, including Bic Camera, in the area.
