Kanazawa to Takayama 2009/6/1 Gifu We are bussing from Kanazawa to Takayama one-way stopping at Shirakawa for sightseeing but not staying the night. Where can we leave our luggage safely in town while we sightsee? Reading the bus fare schedule, is the applicable fare 3300 yen or 4200 yen? According to the above, the one-way bus fare is 4200 yen, 1800 from Kanazawa to Shirakawa-go, 2400 from Shirakawa-go to Takayawa. In the Shirakawa-go bus terminal, there is a tourist information centre. You can leave your luggage there for a fee. I don't think it applies for an stop-over in Shirakawa-go. But you can try asking for a confirmation. The tourist information centre in Takayama is very helpful.
