hi
can i ask if we can visit this ryokan just for the baths? are there any other onsen in Higashiyama Onsen where we can just go for the bath? i want something with nice scenic outdoor bath, thanks !

No, the Mukaitaki Ryokan does not open their baths to non-staying guests. More than half of the other ryokan in Higahsiyama Onsen do open their baths to daytime visitors, however, I have not been to any of them and cannot make a recommendation based on personal experience. But by judging from the ryokan's websites, I can't help mentioning the Toho. Yes, the two that I listed above, both accept non-staying daytime visitors. But please check the opening hours and days before going.
