Furano Biei free pass travel 2009/7/2
Furano
Hi,
We are going one way from Sapporo to Asahikawa. Then we will be taking the public transport between the Biei and Furano area.

Since we wont be going back to Sapporo, is there any free kippu that we can buy just for the travel within the biei furano area? We will be there for 10 days. This saves us the hassle of buying tickets each time we take the furano line or lavender go bus or norokko train.

Hope someone can help soon - we leave for Sapporo 4th July.
Thanks!

I don't think there is such a free pass available.

furano biei free pass 2009/7/3
How about the free pass (4or 5 day) that gives 1 return trip train from Sapporo + all the free rides within the furano area? It used to be around Y5200

Even though we are only going 1 way from Sapporo, I calculated that its still worth it esp with all the free rides within furano by train.

Thanks.

The free pass costs 5400 yen and is valid for 4 consecutive days. This, indeed, pays off for even a one way visit if you use trains in the free area.

more questions on free pass 2009/7/4
Hi, with regards to Furano Biei free pass travel, are we only able to purchase it in Japan? Can we purchase the ticket once we are in Tokyo? or can we only buy it when we've reached Sapporo?

It seems to be on sale only in Hokkaido. Why would you want to purchase it in advance?
