Travel b/ween Nozawa Onsen & Myoko 2009/7/6 Nagano I am travelling to Nagano from Tokyo via train and then staying at Nozawa Onsen for several days. From Nozawa Onsen I am travelling to Myoko Kogen. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to get from Nozawa Onsen to Myoko Kogen. There will be 5 of us travelling. If I need to book private transfers can anyone please tell me how to organise this as I am living in Australia at present and can only book via internet. Thanks heaps by kirarockie   ... 2009/7/6 Take the bus from Nozawa Onsen to Nagano and then the JR train from Nagano to Myoko Kogen. There does not seem to exist a more direct connection. by Uji rate this post as useful How about renting a car? 2009/7/21 Nozawa and Myoko are only about an hour away by car. You cant rent a car in Noz and drop it off in Myoko though. Have you thought about hiring to drive from Tokyo for your trip? Here is how it would work: enter phone number of Nozawa accommodation into GPS. This will guide you to Noz via the expressway, a really easy trip. Then do the same to get to Myoko and back to Tokyo. I think it would probably cost the same as trains, but driving is easier for the transfer and also gives you a bit of freedom to look around. There are heaps of interesting things in that area, like the snow monkeys which you could do one afternoon while you are in Nozawa.
