Dear visitor, if you know the answer to this question, please post it. Thank you! Onsen with snow resot near tokyo 2009/7/9 Hi, I'm visiting Tokyo in Dec with a family 4 adults and 4 children. My children would like to experience snow, is there any snow resort near tokyo that can be easily access by train? we will not be driving. Is Nozawa Onsen ski resort a good choice? Any cheaper accommodation with onsen near the ski resort? thanks. by jenjenie   where to find snow 2009/7/10 here's some info to get you started: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2265.html by yllwsmrf rate this post as useful Nozawa Onsen 2009/7/21 Nozawa Onsen would be great choice, the town has a great atmosphere and onsens are abundant. There are places closer to Tokyo than Nozawa that you could go to, but Nozawa is good because you get a traditional village experience as well as excellent snow. Generally, the cheaper accommodation doesn't have their own onsen. This is not too much of a problem because there are 13 free onsens around town. The whole village is really close to the ski resort, so anywhere in town is pretty convenient.
