We'll be in Japan in Augustand are prepared for steamy weather. however we will also be visiting Takayama and Koyasan. Will temperatures be sufficiently cooler at these locations that we'll need something warm??

It will be cooler, but still rather mild. In the night in can get a little bit cool, though. The average nighttime lows are around 18 and 19 degrees in both, Koyasan and Takayama. Daytime highs around 26 degrees on Koyasan and around 30 degress in Takayama.
