getting to Haneda 2009/7/22
Narita
Hello since I have a flight from Haneda at 6:20 AM, I would like to know how to get to the airport from Shinjuku. Are there public trasport at that time? How much would be cost a taxi?
Thanks

The first connection from Shinjuku:
04:42 depart Shinjuku by Yamanote Line
05:01 arrive Shinagawa
05:15 depart Shinagawa by Keikyu Railways
05:29 arrive Haneda Airport

That is early enough to comfortably catch a 6:20 flight (assuming it is a domestic flight).

Alternatively, note that there is a hotel inside terminal 2 of Haneda Airport, which is a nice place to spend the night before early flights:

taxi? 2009/7/22
Hello, thanks for your reply. Do you know how much, more or less would be the fare of a taxi?

A taxi trip from Shinjuku to Haneda costs over 5000 yen, compared to 590 yen by train.

RE: getting to Haneda 2009/7/22
: I would like to know how to get to the airport from Shinjuku. Are there public trasport at that time?

The JR - Keikyu route seems to be the best.
The times listed above by Uji are the same on weekdays and other days.
(The earliest monorail train you can get at Hamamatsucho will arrive at Haneda Airport Terminal 2 Sta. at 05:43.
The earliest airport limousine from Shinjuku to Haneda terminal 2 or 1 will arrive at 05:50 or later.)

Check in advance which terminal your flight is going to use.

Yamanote Line has two loops. At Shinjuku Sta., be sure to wait at a Yamanote Line track for Shinagawa, not at one for Ueno.

At Shinagawa Sta., you can pass through Transfer Gate with either of the followings:
- A Suica card storing e-money for 590 yen or more
- A PASMO card storing e-money for 590 yen or more
- A transfer ticket (saying "400 yen from Shinagawa") which you purchased at Shinjuku Sta. on the same day for 590 yen and then used to step in through a gate
If you are not sure about the above, ask an attendant of JR Shinjuku Sta. by the previous evening.
When you can not use Transfer Gate,
pass through Central Gate, advance to the left for Takanawa (West) Exit,
move to Takanawa entrance of Keikyu (via elevator / escalator/ stairs),
purchase a 400 yen ticket, step in through Takanawa Gate and go to Track 1.
That may be not an easy task for 14 minutes or less, so I recommend Transfer Gate, which directly leads to Track 1.

Haneda Airport Sta. is the newest station of Keikyu opened only about 10 years ago. Follow its kind signs and take the way to lobbies of your terminal.
