Dear visitor, if you know the answer to this question, please post it. Thank you! Climbing Mt Fuji in 1 Day 2009/7/28 I am interested in climbing Mt Fuji on my trip to Japan this summer. However, I wouldn't like to make it an overnight trip. I am not so much interested in the whole seeing the sunrise thing as I am just adding having climbed Mt Fuji to the list of my own personal achievements. I was reading about the option to climb up during the morning, see the sunset, and climb down at night. But, I haven't found much more information about this option. Does anyone know where I can read more about this? I started from 6:00a.m. July 1 from train station, none stop climbing all the way up to the summit 3776m at 8:45p.m. with a few break during the day. The last 500m was really hard though. I got HAPE around 3500m I believe ( I didn't realized and I found the info. after). I could have make it in one day if it was open and tour bus can ride me up to 5th station about 2300m.
