Dear visitor, if you know the answer to this question, please post it. Thank you! Climbing Fuji - notification required? 2009/7/29 Hello, on the 5th of August I am planning to climb MT Fuji. I have read that it can get crowded to the point of having to queue and as such I am choosing to climb over the night to get to the top by sunset. I am wandering due to climbing at night and the overcrowding - is any notifcation required before climbing the mountain? Or can you just catch a bus to the a 5th station and walk up as you please?
