Bus coming back from Mt Fuji. Book it? 2009/8/5
Fujigoko
Hi all,
Heading to My Fuji on the Chuo Highway bus 8.40 am Wed 26th August. The ticket going to Mt Fuji is reserved, but not coming back as we are not sure how long to give ourselves. We don't mind if a certain bus is full and we need to wait for the next one, but we don't want them all to be reserved already and to get stuck there obviously! The last Chuo bus is 8.10pm (odd, I had the impression the last bus back was 3pm, but maybe that was a different bus company)

Will we be right? Or should we reserve a fairly late one back and find something to do in the meantime.

At this stage we are thinking photos of My Fuji, a cruise around the lake, some herb garden thats there somwhere, the cable car and maybe the monkey theatre. A lava cave if we feel like it.

I don't recommend to reserve, but just try to take the next one going back to Shinjuku. I don't think that all the buses will be booked out, because most people don't know when they will be back at the 5th Station and will not make reservations for that reason.

And in the unlikely case all buses were sold out, you could still take a regular bus down to Kawaguchiko Station and catch a bus to Shinjuku from there.

Great 2009/8/6
Thanks very much. Thats put my mind at ease that we won't end up having to camp overnight at the Lake!!! Ha Ha. And we have to freedom to do and see what we want there. :)
