Narita Airport to Toyoko Inn Shinjuku 2009/8/5
Narita
We will arrive Narita Airport on Sat @ 15:00. What is the best way to get to Toyoko Inn located at 2-20-15, Kabuki-cho Shinjuku-ku. Will airport limousine drop us off there or we should get off at the nearest stop at Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku and walk to Toyoko Inn.

Shinjuku(stn) means "JR Shinjuku Station"

(light Yellow area, lower left)

and "suica or Pasmo" better. can use Keisei Railway, too. (not JR)

Train! 2009/8/5
Catching the Nex from Narita would be best, get the Nex & Suica package and it costs almost nothing. The bus would drop you off further away from the hotel than the station.

How much luggage will you have? as you will hit shinjuku station at the evening rush. It's a 15 minute walk to the hotel from the station, it's perfectly do-able tho, i always stay there when i'm in toyko.

Toyoko Inn Shinjuku to Tsukiji market 2009/8/6
Thank you for the previous answers...another question, we would like to go to Tsukiji fish market, what days are still open to public and what is the best way (besides Taxi) to get there from Toyoko Inn Shinjuku. How early should we leave the hotel?

:what is the best way (besides Taxi) to get there from Toyoko Inn Shinjuku.

I presume it's about 5 to 10 min. on foot from your hotel to Exit A1 of subway Higashi-shinjuku Sta.

You can take a train on Toei Oedo Line for Iidabashi & Ryogoku to get to Tsukijishijo Sta., which is the nearest station to Tsukiji Wholesale Market.
The required time is about 35 minutes and the fare is 260 yen, which can be paid with a Suica card and is not covered by a JR Pass.
Your train will arrive at Track 1 of Tsukijishijo Sta.; Exit A1 is the exit closest to Tsukiji Wholesale Market.

: How early should we leave the hotel?

To take the earliest train (05:12, regardless of days), you'd better leave your hotel by 04:55 am; you will get to the station around 05:45 am and will reach the market around 6 am.
Maybe that's a bit late for you to enjoy watching tuna auctions, the area for which is not off-limits only during 05:00 to 06:15 am.
If you dare to walk long to watch tuna auctions, possibly you can reach the market about around 05:30 am via a JR section Shinjuku - Kanda - Shimbashi, but that must be a tough job: leaving your hotel by 04:00 am, walking long to East Ticket Gate of Shinjuku Sta., moving to the track near the west end to catch a train (04:32), changing trains (Track 5 to 1) within only a few minutes in Kanda Sta., getting to Shimbashi Sta. (04:59), and walking long to the market. I don't recommend your taking such a journey.

CORRECTION 2009/8/6
Sorry for a simple mistake. Your train from Higashi-shinjuku Sta. will arrive at Track 2 of Tsukijishijo Sta.

Dont walk to TY Inn Shinjuku! 2009/8/6
Don't underestimate the use of taxis in Japan! After a long flight then a 90min bus/train to Shinjuku the walk to the TY Inn will be no fun at all, esp with heavy bags and if you dont know the way you will probably not get it right first time! I suggest you print out the address of the hotel in Japanese from their website then jump in a taxi at Shinjuku. It will cost about 1000yen to the TY Inn but will make for SUCH a better start to your trip - this will be the best 1000yen you spend on your whole trip - unless you find a 1000yen nomihodai (all u can drink) bar!
