Thank you! accomodation hakone 2009/8/7 Hakone hey does anyone knows if there are any ryokans that offer the most reasonable price around hakone? also what do you guys think of looking for a ryokan to stay in hakone when i get there without prior reservations? reason why i asked is bc i'm already paying for a hotel room back in tokyo and i'm reluctant to leave that place. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank YOU! by yo (guest)   ... 2009/8/7 Then you could start early and do the Hakone round trip as a day trip and get back to Tokyo for the night :) Because ryokans (most of them) want to have advance reservation - because they serve dinner at a relatively early time, they want to be prepared - so looking for one on the day might be difficult, and also depending on exactly where the ryokan is located, it might limit your itinerary (you might have to backtrack, for example). by AK rate this post as useful Hakone room 2009/8/7 Budget: Fuji Hakone Guesthouse.
