Nagano to Kamikochi bus 2009/8/8
Thanks.

I want to find out if I book in advance from the web, do I pick up the tickets when I land in Japan, or it is not necessary.

I also want to know if this is a good way to go to kamikochi in terms of convenience and cost.

Takayama - Kamikochi 2009/8/8
We took the bus from Takayama to Kamikochi as it fitted better into our travel plans. They are less frequent than from Nagano, but was not crowded when we took it.
Since maybe more tourists visit Takayama than Nagano, I thought that this was worth mentioning.

Thanks.

But the reason I pick Nagano is because of my JR east special pass. So i have two options, one is nagano and the other is Matsumoto.

Can you please tell me how much it costed you from Takayama and how long it took?

I am not familiar with their online reservation system. Do they not explain it?

Yes. But there seems to be only one per day. If it is not suitable to you, I recommend to travel via Matsumoto:
